Aspire Athletics 2024

The Aspire Athletics was a real triumph of an event!

We were all thrilled to finally get back on to the tracks at John Charles Centre for Sport.  After last year’s cancellations due to weather, a little drizzling rain wasn’t going to hold us back.

There were 25 competitions over the course of the day; that’s 75 winners!  Some of you were competing for the first time, but many of you were veterans of this popular event.  Either way, you enjoyed your victory.

The Diverse Dynamic Dreamers took to the stage for a half-time show of modern hits, featuring Lewis dressed in drag doing his best Beyonce impression.  Dancing such a complicated routine can be tricky for anyone, but he mastered it – even in high heels!

It was a perfect end to the Summer: getting together with friends for some hearty sports and healthy competition.
