Celebration of Cultures
Our Cultural Awareness Day was a resounding success!
This year’s theme was Celebration of Cultures, and you all came in a variety of cultural dress. We saw glittering saris, patterned kanga dresses, changsams and even morris dancer costumes! We enjoyed an array of diverse performances from Dramarama, Artlink, Tak, Lewis, Inder, Kieron & Harjit and Sky Fallers as well as a Zumba session by Alice.
The dance floor was packed as you boogied the day away. When Clare Brooke performed there was laughter, as she coaxed Cllr Kevin Ritchie on stage for a dance, and tears as we announced that all proceeds from the day were donated to The Homeless Street Angels charity.
Thanks to those who organised and supported the day. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!
