This Trustees’ Week 2025, we’re celebrating the incredible people who guide our vision and help us build a bright future.

We want to welcome our newest Non-Executive Directors and Customer Council Representative to our board – all of whom bring expertise and dedication reflecting our stakeholder voices and align with The Aspire Strategy.

–Meet John
Beginning in 1983 supporting war veterans, Johns career took him through the Department of Health and NHS England. He retired from his role as Deputy CEO of Bradford Teaching hospitals in 2023 and has been enjoying family life, building his musical prowess and continues being an avid supporter of Fleetwood Town FC and treasurer of Leeds Adel Hockey Club.

“It’s a privilege for me to have joined Aspire.  The work we do here is really important, supporting so many people in Leeds who use our services.   I hope that my skills and experience from a long career in Whitehall and the NHS will enable me to help Aspire to succeed and thrive, despite all the challenges we face.”
