In the lead up to Easter, lots of people at Bramley day service were decorating hats. This is because they were planning to hold an Easter coffee morning complete with Easter bonnet parade.
On the day around 30 colourful hats were displayed for everyone to see, trimmed up with a variety of ribbons, rabbits, flowers, feathers and chicks galore. Then their proud creators wore them in the parade and the guest judges had a hard time choosing the winners. In the end they decided Salma would take third place, Diane was second and Patricia came first.
The coffee morning was the perfect opportunity for people to say goodbye to John Morfitt. John has worked with lots of people over the years and he was thrilled that so many people came to the coffee morning. He was a bit overwhelmed on the day but, in accepting his retirement bowl, talked proudly about his career, his colleagues and the fantastic work everyone at Aspire does to improve the lives of the people we support.
We wish John and long, healthy and happy retirement in Portugal.
